Taean-gun Family Center (Center Director Park Ji-yeon) operates a parenting guidance program for the proper growth of children from multicultural families.
The 'Ask Anything About Child Raising' program will be held eight times from August to November at the 'Playground' in the Taean-gun Family Center for a total of 10 parents from multicultural families with children in childcare and elementary school.
This program is designed to create a healthy parenting environment and increase positive emotions in multicultural children. Professional counselors and play instructors are invited to provide parenting counseling and play guidance for parents.
In particular, through group counseling, parents' subconscious and psychological states are identified and customized parenting methods are provided accordingly. For families who have difficulty communicating with their children, 1:1 counseling is provided through linkage with center counselors. We plan to do so.
An official at the military family center said, "We have decided to run this program because there are many parents from multicultural families who complain of difficulties in communication as their children grow up. We will continue to prepare related programs in the future to ensure the happiness and stable settlement of multicultural families." "he said.
